Clean brown cloth boards with gold lettering and trotting horse on cover, gold lettering on spine. No bumping or fraying. Very slight fading at base spine edge. Binding is tight & square, no cracking. Clean bright color illustrated endpapers. Pages and edges are clean and bright. Very small, neatly penned previous owner inscription on half-title page. Beautiful illustration throughout by Wesley Dennis (in color and in black & white). 224 pgs. Edition of 1950 and "c" beneath on copyright page. Clean color illustrated dustjacket is not price clipped (2.75 on front flap), has tiny corner chips, short closed edge tears, slight wear at flap folds. Enclosed in new archival quality mylar cover. Scarce in this condition in a clean, presentable dustjacket. 7-1/4" x 9-3/4". Horses. 014840
