Marion Crawford..." which goes on to tell of experiences with and admiration for F. Marion Crawford and Marcia Van Dresser, and states the the book and program are being sent to the Museum of the City of New York for their Theatre Collection "in the hope it will be spared destruction in this tragic period (World War II) when so much that is beautiful, noble and fair is being so ruthlessly destroyed. - Gertrude Norman - England. May, 1940." Gertrude Norman was an American stage and motion picture actress of the 1910s through 1930s. Book note also refers to Viola Allen (see below). Eight illustrations. 367 pages.
