An amazing book, both in appearance and content - leather bound with stamped gold lettering and decoration on cover and spine. Bevelled board edges. Size approx. 7" x 9-1/2" x 3". A little rubbing to corners and edges. Binding is tight, with some cracking to front hinge not affecting soundness, clean marbled endpapers. Previous owner inscription neatly penned on front fly leaf: "Birth-day Present to my wife, from the Doctor. Sept. 19th, 1882." All pages are clean. Marbled text block edges.
