Two very small abrasions to front fixed endpaper (smaller than a pea). No names, writing or bookplates. 159 pgs. Illustrated with drawings. Dustjacket is not price clipped, has chips at top and bottom of spine edges, small edge chips & corner wear. Enclosed in new archival quality mylar cover. When Dickens established Household Words in 1850 he inaugurated special Christmas numbers. In each of these he published a special story, which was either outlined by himself or discussed by him. In certain cases, Dickens himself wrote part of the story and The Wreck of the Golden Mary is one of these tales, in which he collaborated with Wilkie Collins. This tale is one of the best and is but little known to the present generation. It was first published in book form in 1898.
