Stated First Edition in original unclipped dust jacket. Clean blue cloth boards with small black illustration of Sandy Hook lighthouse on cover, black and yellow lettering and decoration on spine. No fraying or wear. Binding is tight and square, no cracking. Pages and edges are clean, with clean illustrated endpapers (attractive custom bookplate on front paste down). Introduction by The Honorable Fiorello H. La Guardia. Illustrated with black and white plates. 341 pages with index. Compiled by the New York City WPA Writers' Project. Dust jacket is not price clipped (3.00 on front inside flap), one small chip to lower corner tip of rear panel. Enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover.
