Tiny closed tear to cloth at base of spine (1/4"), light surface wear to corners. Binding is tight & square, no cracking. Pages and edges are clean, with gilt top page edges. Previous owner name and two dates at top edge of front free endpaper; previous owner inscription dated 1905 on blank fly leaf, inscription signed by Ralph - possibly the translator, Ralph Davidson.
