Stated First Edition in original unclipped dust jacket. Clean red cloth boards with blue lettering on spine. Slightest hint of surface wear at base of spine. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound - no cracking. Pages are clean; small previous owner initials at top edge of front free endpaper. 286 pages. Dust jacket is not price clipped (2.75 on front inside flap), has previous owner name neatly penned near top of front inside flap; no chips, one short closed edge tear, a few faint water spots to spine, very shallow chipping at base of spine (less than 1/8"). Enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover. Story of the Comancheros, the unscrupulous gypsies of the American plains, riding into battle with the savage Comanches. Not content to buy stolen cattle, horses, and other plunder from the Indians, they were now actively engaged in the bloody business of massacre. Made into a successful movie starring John Wayne as a Texas Ranger in 1961. 026756
