First Edition in clean original unclipped jacket. Very clean red cloth boards with black compass decoration on cover, black lettering on spine. No bumping or wear. Binding is tight & square, no cracking. Pages and edges are clean. Clean endpapers; no names, writing or marks. 250 pgs. Clean unfaded dustjacket is not price clipped (3.75 on front inside flap), unchipped, with one short closed edge tear at base of rear panel (under 1"), light rubbing to corners. Enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover. A young stowaway finds that his fate is strangely bound up with pirates on the ship, as the enigmatic Captain claims to know the secret of his parentage. An exotic and adventurous tale along the lines of "Treasure Island." This was the author's first book.
