Second printing (May, 1915) in scarce illustrated original dust jacket. Decorated American trade binding. Clean orange cloth boards with black lettering, brown and gold decoration on cover, gold lettering and gold circle on spine. No fraying or fading. Binding is tight and square, no cracking. Pages and edges are clean, with clean endpapers - no names, writing or marks. Color frontispiece illustration of young woman on phone. 331 pages. Clean illustrated dust jacket (woman on the telephone, with man's face peeking through curtain) - jacket art by G. W. Hood. Very shallow chipping at top spine edge, a few tiny nicks closed edge tears. Enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover. A woman counterfeiter and a secret service man are pitted against each other in this Arthur Stringer detective story. 025392
