Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound - no cracking. Pages are clean, with very small previous owner name and date (Xmas 1926) written neatly on front free endpaper. Generously illustrated with photographs. 252 pages. Dust jacket with price intact on front flap (2.50), has age-toning, lots of small edge chips and short closed edge tears. Enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover. Author takes us from room to room through her delightful house a Hanover in which Daniel Webster roomed while a student at Dartmouth, and pauses long enough to tell us about the various antique pieces of furniture with which she has completely furnished each room. Author has a tremendous knowledge of antiques, and is skilled at writing delightfully about them.
