Very small spot of fraying at base of spine, small spots of wear to two corner tips. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound. Pages are clean with clean floral endpapers - no names or bookplates. Sixteen half-tone illustrations from the designs by Heinrich Johann Michael Ferdinand Hofmann; thirteen fine-line wood engravings designed by Plockhorst, with remaining illustrations from famous paintings by world renowned artists. 254 pages.
