Clean stated First Edition, SIGNED by author, in clean unclipped dust jacket. Red boards with black cloth spine, gold lettering on spine. No bumping or fraying. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound. Inscribed on front free endpaper by the author as follows: "To George and Anne Doty, with happy memories of tennis days, Love Clarence B. Randall." Pages and edges are clean. 248 pages. Dust jacket is clean, not price clipped, has one very small scrape, a few short closed edge tears; wonderful photo of author and his wife on rear panel; enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover. A memoir by a man who grew up in the sticks in Michigan, became president of Inland Steel Company and served in Europe as the Iron and Steel Consultant for the Marshall Plan.
