Brown decorated paper-covered boards with oval black raised cameo of Sherlock in center of front board, "VR" at two corners; black cloth spine with gold lettering. 1/8" closed tear at top center spine cloth; slight fading to spine. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound. Small previous owner inscription at upper corner of front fixed endpaper. Illustrations by Frederic Dorr Steele, Frank Wiles and others. The Final Adventures of Sherlock Holmes in one volume: The Seven Adventures originally published as "His Last Bow"; The Valley of Fear and The Twelve Adventures originally published as "The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes", with an Epilogue by Edgar W. Smith. Black paper-covered slipcase is quite sturdy, has a few edge chips, small cracks. Third volume from a 3-volume set which included The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, The Later Years, The Final Adventures .
