Stated First Trade edition in scarce original unclipped dust jacket. Decorated American trade binding. Clean brown cloth boards with gold decoration and lettering on cover, gold lettering with very small decoration on spine. No fraying, fading or wear. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound - no cracking. Pages and edges are clean with clean blank endpapers - no names, writing or marks; top page edges are gilt. Beautiful color frontispiece illustration with clean printed tissue guard (Queen Mary's Psalter). Thoroughly illustrated. 317 pages with index. Clean dust jacket is not price clipped, has some shallow edge chipping, 4" closed diagonal tear on rear panel. Enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover. Accompany the author throughout his quest of the perfect book, to meet interesting people and become acquainted with the fascinations the book possesses as the product of an art.
